Nature's Pathways - Admissions
No child will be refused admission on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, or creed. However, The Nature of Things, LLC reserves the right to deny admission or revoke enrollment at their own discretion for reasons including, but not limited to, the following:
· Non-payment of tuition
· Inability to provide the school with medical records
· Lack of immunizations
· Child’s repeated disruptive behavior
· Child’s violent behavior
· Lack of cooperation with school staff by student or parent
· Developmental incompatibility for program which cannot be reasonably accommodated
Children will be granted admission only after a tour with the parent(s) and child (other than infants), classroom visit, payment of registration fee, deposit of one tuition installment, and completion of all necessary forms including a well-child health form signed and dated by the child’s pediatrician or a licensed health practitioner and required immunizations. If there are no current openings in the appropriate age group, the child’s name will be placed on a waiting list and the parent will be notified when a slot becomes available.
After an interview and classroom visit, we will place the child into the age group we feel most appropriate based on the child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive abilities. Readiness to move up into the next age group is also up to the discretion of the child’s teachers and the director based on developmental skill level, as well as availability in that given age group. Readiness to start preschool and pre-kindergarten programs will be determined on the basis of emotional and social development, the ability to transition to various learning centers, and the readiness to participate in our preschool curriculum. The child must also have the ability to communicate with the staff, be willing to cooperate with others, be capable of participating in small and large group situations for short periods of time, and must be fully toilet trained.
Part-time Preschool, Pre-kindergarten
